The Bass Bite is Hotter Than Ever, Despite Low Lake Levels!
Many have heard reports about Lake Okeechobee experiencing lower than usual water levels. Although true, the lake levels have not affected our guide’s ability to catch large fish on both live bait and artificial. Fast Break’s guides are catching bass that weigh 6+ pounds daily. An exceptional 10 pound bass was caught this week during at trip with Capt. Allen Duke.
If you had questions about the fishing this time of year, rest assured knowing that the bite is as good as it has ever been! The first 4 hours of the day has been on fire, with fast-paced hits on top-water baits and swim jigs (specifically Sungill Horny Toads or black and blue swim jigs). Early morning trips are by far the best for live bait as well. Our guided trips have been leaving out by 6am in order to catch the morning bite.
Many families and kids have been enjoying their summer break fishing with Fast Break Bait and Tackle’s guide service. Don’t wait. Book a trip for the kids before they go back to school! Check out our summer special pricing now! Below are pictures from the last several trips!
