Richie and Kyle from New Jersey fished with me on August 30, 2013. We had a great trip and I am sure Kyle is still bragging about catching a big Lake Okeechobee bass. The day started off with some artificial action and wouldn’t you know it Kyle caught the biggest fish of the day just a minute or two into fishing. After catching fish for a solid 3 or 4 hours, we switched over to some good wild shiner fishing. After catching a few bass and some nice catfish on live bait we decided it was time to head in.
What a great day here on Lake Okeechobee, we caught over 50 fish with the average size being 2 lbs. Kyle’s big fish of the day was a solid 7 lb largemouth and he also caught several fish in the 3 to 4 lb range. I don’t know who was more excited about the big fish Kyle, Richie, or myself. Check out the pictures below and tell me this young man didn’t have fun.
I look forward to Kyle dragging his dad Richie down here for many years to come. Another great trip here on Lake Okeechobee.
