Lake Okeechobee is really starting to fish good. The artificial bite is starting to get fired up with good numbers and some really nice fish to go with it. On a recent trip with Jeremy and Pete from the Tampa area we found success throwing spinnerbaits and skinny dippers early then found some good fish flipping later in the morning.
We fished around the Harney Pond area early and then headed down Observation shoal and pitched/flipped reed clumps. Check out the picture below. This was Jeremy’s first Lake Okeechobee bass and the first fish that landed in the boat, pretty good way to start out the day.
