The bass have been lights out during the first two hours of daylight and it hasn’t mattered where I have fished. Getting out early is key here, most trips have been leaving the shop at 5:45 and fish catching has started around 6:15. It seems as though when the sun gets up and it starts getting hot the fish shut down and move into the thick cover. I fished with David, Dylan, and Ted this morning and we caught 25 before 8:00 after 8 it slowed down for us. This was the third trip for this group of boys from Kentucky with me and each and every-time we have a great time.
Check out the picture of Ted with a solid 7 lb bucketmouth he caught this morning. Also pictured here is Capt. Chase with some recent big fish he has caught.
