Captain Mike Jones has been known to some of the locals as “Big Fish Mike Jones” and he is living up to his nickname. Stan Hough fished with Captain Mike on 05-10-13 and caught several big fish. Stan caught over 25 fish in 4 hours and had two giants both over 7 lbs and several others in the 4-6 lb range.
This is the time of year both avid fisherman and beginners alike can experience the euphoria of having one of these giant Lake Okeechobee bass jump attached to your line.
All I know is this is a fun time of year to be on Lake Okeechobee as live bait fishing and artificial fishing are both producing big fish and lot’s of them.
